Happy Valentine’s Day to my workin’ girl

She’s bringin’ home the bacon

It’s great for buying extra stuff

But I feel a bit forsaken

No one there when I wake up

Eight hours I’m by my lonesome

I read and write and take a walk

And spend time on the phone some

I buy fresh stuff and cook her food

And hope that she will like it

’Cause if she doesn’t I’m burnt toast

And if my ass is near she’ll strike it!

And yet I love her just the same

More so if I’m truthful

She’s just as sweet as when met

And almost just as youthful

She’s my forever Valentine

And I’m hers too I’m prayin’

For who but she’d put up with me?

If you know what I’m sayin’
